Only 10 meters from the campsite les Bords de l'Aure is the municipal swimming pool. It is accessible by a pathway and admission is free for users of the campsite.
Open daily, this indoor aquatic complex has several pools (a 25-meter sports pool and a 15-meter training pool), a paddling pool, a sauna and a solarium.
Five aquabikes are also available for hire. A great way to get back in shape during your holiday in Normandy!
Situated a few kilometres from the beaches and key D-Day sites in Normandy (Arromanches, Longues-sur-Mer), Bayeux is a historical city. The museums and the old town tell the story of William the Conqueror - through the Bayeux Tapestry - and the Battle of Normandy in the summer of 1944.
Liberated very early after the landing of the Allies, Bayeux and the Bessin region suffered little damage during the Battle of Normandy. Just like the medieval heritage of Bayeux, the pretty villages, abbeys and fortified farms were preserved, lendind bucolic charm to this little corner of Calvados. The coastline offers in turns long sandy beaches and tall rugged cliffs.
